The castle of Terrarossa is a majestic residence of the Malaspina family built in the 16th century. Designed by Marquis Fabrizio Malaspina, it has a square plan with four bulwarks, but many parts of the project remained incomplete. Located along the Via Francigena, it has simple exterior façades with river and stone pebbles. The interior includes over 40 rooms, including large living rooms and apartments, and in the past housed a silkworm farm. After the restoration, the castle houses the tourist information office and is used for events.
