Torsana, the highest village of Lunigiana at 935 m of altitude in the municipality of Comano, is rich in history linked to the stonemasons who worked the sandstone. Surrounded by mountains, meadows and woods, it has houses with fine architectural details. The Church of San Giacomo Maggiore, built in the twelfth century, dominates the village with its imposing bell tower. Despite the period of depopulation, Torsana is experiencing a process of redevelopment and resuscitation and since 2010 is part of the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines: a historical and environmental treasure to be preserved.
