Lunigiana on the road
Lunigiana's position, a hinge connecting the Po Valley and the Ligurian Sea, has made it an indispensable place of passage for several historical and religious paths, such as the Via Francigena, the Via del Volto Santo, the Via degli Abati, and the Via Marchesana. They can be traveled on foot, on horseback, and by bicycle, along with the great CAI itineraries such as the Sentiero Italia, the Sentiero dei Ducati, the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, and the Lunigiana Trek. Finally, there is no shortage of local trails and the CAI network of mountain trails, which make this land a walker's paradise.
