Guided by AlterEco's guides, you will begin the route from Pontevecchio, one of the most important and mysterious archaeological areas in Lunigiana and beyond, where as many as 9 stele statues were found in the early 1900s, dating back to the 4th century BC.
You will then follow a beautiful path through the verdant forests of this valley to the Tecchia di Tenerano, a large cave carved into the cavernous limestone, used by humans and animals during prehistoric times and in more recent times to house animals on the mountain pasture.
After exploring the possible part of this beautiful cave, in which remains of concretions are visible and there is also a small lake, you will reach Tenerano where you can refresh yourself with a tasting at the town's Circle, before returning to Pontevecchio.
