Venture along the streams of the Via Francigena, to the headwaters of the River Magra in Lunigiana on this adrenaline-filled river trek in cool, crystal-clear waters.
The itinerary runs along the first Tuscan stage of the Via Francigena, at the foot of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines in Valdantena, between the Cisa Pass and Pontremoli, where the territory is a riot of terraced olive groves and vineyards, chestnut forests and cool-water streams. The only requirement is to be able to swim.
We will walk past ancient bridges and medieval villages, pools of water and natural waterfalls along a route with a history stretching back thousands of years between the Civasola and Magra rivers.
